Sometimes life is a challenging journey,
cherished dreams seem so far away.
Our plans for a bright, promising future,
get trampled and lost in the fray.
Doubts creep into our mind and we wonder,
on these dark clouds which colour the day.
Will they trouble our hearts for a short while,
or hang on for a much longer stay.
It’s a shock when the unforeseen happens;
unexpected, it threatens our dreams.
In a minute our life’s changed forever,
So we question the ways and the means.
How are we to find the path forward,
when the heart’s loss seems too hard to bear?
When the burden laid heavy upon us,
is draining with worry and care?
So, we turn to the Almighty Father,
And ask ‘why did this happen’ questions?
Can He feel our pain and confusion?
Can He offer much needed direction?
Our life’s changed forever… it hurts.
And we don’t know the where’s and the why.
It’s hard to accept there’s no answer,
to go on with life just getting by.
The most difficult step is the first one,
to reach out with all of your heart.
Trust that He’s right there beside you,
you’ll do fine and not fall apart.
When life cannot offer an answer;
you’re lost, wondering however to cope.
Grab onto the lifeline God offers,
in a strong and steadying hope.
Hope does not disappoint, it’s a light,
to see you through dark, troubled days.
Hold tight to its promise and comfort,
Let its Beacon of Love show the way.
“The key to surviving any challenge or crisis is hope.
Hope that Jesus loves you.
Hope that He is – right now -working out a solution for you.
Hope that the future you place in His Hands
will be better than the present you hold in your own.”
(N.V. Peale)
And… Believe with all of your heart.

What an eloquent tribute to Faith…..”reach out with all of your heart. Trust that He’s right there beside you.” Thanks you for this lovely essay.
And thank you for the kind words… and encouragement! It means a lot!
Thanks for this reminder & these sustaining words, Bev! May God bless you as you encourage His people!
Writing it also encourages me as well. That’s the blessing of it. I so appreciate your feedback! Thank you!
