Abundant Life

This is a distinctive and unique quilt, both in theme and presentation.  It was inspired by the verse from John 10:10… I have come that they might have life… and have it more abundantly.  And this is what the quilt portrays with its abundant array of colourful fruits and leaves.  Jesus, the Shepherd tending his flock at the base of the quilt, which contains the reassuring words from Revelations 21:4… and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.  A Rose of Sharon, featured prominently in Hebrew Scriptures overlooks the entire scene.  While just below it nestles a crystal teardrop.

The piece is dense with hand-quilting, and embroidery stitching.  It is set on the diagonal, and measures approximately 60″ from top to bottom/left to right.  2 sleeves have been stitched to the back of the quilt to facilitate hanging.
