This is a beautiful landscaped rendition of the High Cross from the kirkyard at Kildalton Abbey. Located on the isle of Mull off the west coast of Scotland. The quilt measures approximately 40” x 61”. It is bordered with a variety of wild flowers indigenous to the region. And depicts the National Flower of a Thistle, as well as the Scottish Salter, both of which are symbolic of the country.
The quilt is machine-pieced and top-stitched. The border design is done in applique, and also top-stitched by machine.
A sleeve has been sewn onto the back of the quilt, to facilitate hanging. Care instructions are included.
